Installation problems

Use the Revit plugin installation guide for Bloooom by Zaltt. The cloud plugin supports Revit 2025, 2026 and 2027 on Windows.

  1. Check that you installed the plugin for a supported Revit year.
  2. Save your work and close every Revit window before installing or reinstalling.
  3. Follow the installation guide, then reopen Revit.
  4. Look for the Bloooom tab and click Bloooom.

Some installer wording refers to the Add-Ins tab. The current plugin instructions point to the Bloooom tab.

If installation reports an error, keep the wording of that error. A failed verification should not be bypassed. Contact Zaltt support if the installation guide does not resolve it.

An automatic update waits until every Revit window is closed. Save your work and close Revit normally when you are ready. The plugin verifies the release before applying it; an unverified update is not applied.

Reinstalling does not reset a used activation code. If you changed computer or Windows profile, or lost the saved activation, contact Zaltt support. There is no automatic device reset or transfer in the current plugin.

Older local installer: slow downloads or a stuck progress display

Section titled “Older local installer: slow downloads or a stuck progress display”

An investigation on 27 August 2026 recorded problems in the older local-runtime installer:

  1. The last large download could continue slowly on one connection.
  2. The unpacking progress display could appear stuck while files were still being unpacked.
  3. The current-file display could show a version instead of a filename, while the time estimate changed sharply.

That record says fixes were implemented for download scheduling, progress reporting and large-file downloads. It does not establish a verified speed improvement on every machine, and a clean-machine prerequisite check remained untested.

These are dated findings about the local-runtime installer. They do not describe the Revit cloud plugin installation. A static progress display alone is not proof that an installation has stopped. If you encounter these symptoms, send support the installer name, the stage shown and any error message before restarting the installation repeatedly.
